Here's a view of the Dazhi Bridge (大直橋) on New Year's Eve as spectators crowd to see the fireworks display which will take place over at Taipei 101. It's really quite a spectacular show they have every year. I missed it this year (since I had to stay home and watch on TV because I was sick). Anyway, thanks to Daniel Bastke and Andrea Brodersen for these pictures from Andrea's rooftop. Yes, there were lots of other people on the rooftop with them at the time. :)
In this photo, the 101 appears to erupt in a giant fireball.
Fortunately, it's not a Chinese missile strike, but it's just the New Year's fireworks show.
